It's a cold, snowy day in Lincoln, NE. I decided to keep Gen home from daycare today and we are just going to lay around (Gen will) and I'm gonna relax on the couch and do some computer work. How could life get any better than this? Have a nice warm house and my baby laying on the floor in her silky jammies watching her cartoons on her DVD. I get the day off the work leisurely from home trying to drum up a few new clients for my business. Well, I guess this is pretty close to perfect.
Gen's 5 year check-up is coming up on March 1. We are concerned about her eating and weight. She does like to eat a lot (but what healthy little girl doesn't??) Anyway, we have cut back signifantly on her sugar and fat intake, however, it's difficult to control her sometimes (well, always) indulgent grandparents. So, we shall see what her pediatrician says here in a few weeks.
So, back to work, and back to watching my favorite person enjoying her morning.

In the beginning...
So this is my first blogging experience and I have to say that thus far it has been great!! Well, I guess that shows that I'm easily entertained. Anyway...I plan to share a piece of my daughter, Gen's, and my life everyday. To be sure it will be funny, frustrating, happy, maybe sad...:(...but always with an intention of being graceful.
